Technical stereo problems

hi all I have a problem with my stereo when I got the car it had a aftermarket head unit in so I got a second hand original stereo ive installed it everything works but I get a constant beeping I took it to fiat today to get it vin coded to the car but they phoned me saying there was a problem with the wiring from the dionostic plug but I took it to a fiat specialist the other day who could read it fine can anyone offer some advice I would like to use the original stereo if poss fiat was gonna charge me loads of money to look at the wiring from the dio plug can anyone help can I just send the stereo off to someone to put my vin code in it so it will match when installed the stereo is a magnetic marelli and its monochrome screen

Hi Dazz,

Unfortunately you cannot send off the stereo as the vin information is not stored on the stereo. I do have lexia and the diag interface so if you are near otley in west yorkshire I would be happy to try for you.
