General Steering wheel controls and new head unit

Can't remember the last time I posted in the punto section!

Just a quick question, Thinking about changing my standard blaupunkt headunit for something a little more snazy but I was wondering if I change my headunit to say a sony one then would it work with my steering wheel controls??? Any ideas?

i see an adapter on ebay once that said it was for making punto steering wheel controls work with a sony head unit, so you will need 1 of them

Thought that might of been the case with the Sony headunits! (read the sticky about it "ICE")

What happens if I change it to another brand, not sony?
