Steering rack Q's

Hey all!

After driving my mates puma i really did notice the difference in lock to lock driving between that and my bravo! As an ex racing driver i really hate 3 turns to the wheel and would like to tighten it up a little!

My car is only a 1.2 sx but was wondering if the larger engine models such as HGT have a lower ratio rack on them?

And if so would it be an easy change or involve lots of mods - or is there an aftermarket part available?

As far as I know they are all the same ratio and no-one makes an aftermarket quickrack. Not much call for it really and it would be expensive due to the power steering.

Just to add i think the turning circle on the Bravo is terrible...(just my opinion)

I've driven worse Joys of FWD cars.

But then thats what the direction change lever is for.

You should try a 127 1300GT Daz (if you can find one). Lucky if you get below a 6 point turn. Bloody awful!
