My steering is squeeking only when I turn to the right and near to full lock. It's started only after I changed the front discs and pads. The garage suggested that it was a possible pad/disc problem where one probably expanded, or similar. i can't remember the exact terminology. I can't see anything obvious underneath and no leakage of any fluids. It's already had the dreaded steering shaft replacement a couple of years ago so probably not that either. Any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks, PuntoFT.

if it is the backplate..on full lock you should be able to get behind the wheel and bend it away from the disk.

...just an update...problem fixed. The backplate gap was ok, but when I slotted a business card between the plate and disc there was some debris in the gap. It easily came out and now the noise is gone! Thanks again for your advice.
