Styling spraying alloys

Helloo

i want to spray my alloys black but was wondering what do i need exactly and what i have to do, i have a ruff idea but want to make sure im correct?

sanding the alloys down till all the shine has gone
primer 3 coats or so
spray your colour 3 coats or so

is that correct?

Yeah, except use an aluminium etching primer.

BUT (and it's a big, big but) you'll probably find that there's someone local who will blast and powder coat them for £30 a wheel, which:

a. Isn't that much more than you'll spend on abrasives and rattle cans
b. Will give a better and more hard wearing result.

Finding somewhere that'll do them in 2 pack is a good alternative.

ok thank mate! yeahh ill look about and hopefully ill find someone cheap enough to do them if not then im sure ill do a good job
