Was at a motorway junction roundabout and got driven off the road onto a kerb at 35-40mph. Not good really. The car hit the kerb head on, not from the side. It was just the front left wheel, if you were in the driver seat. The tyre went and had to wait for the RAC to come and tow me home. As I have no spare just the stupid foam stuff I have to wait till tomorrow for a new tyre. The wheel has a little bit of damage but I am assuming you can get a tyre on. I was wandering if you can buy just one alloy wheel to replace or would all 4 have to be replaced, if it came to that?

It is a Series 2 Grand Punto Sporting. No extras.

Sorry to hear of your accident. Hope you and any passengers are OK.

Could probably pick up one, or a pair of on eBay. If you do get a pair, you could have a full sized spare in the boot for forever more!

Yea everyone was fine. Unfortunately I couldn't get the guy to pull over so no insurance claims will be done as I do not want to lose my no claims. I just hope the steering is fine and the suspension etc. I think it should be fine because after the incident the car drove fine with the steering wheel kept slightly to the left due to the flat tyre. Guess the only way to check is to try and drive it after the tyre has been replaced.

Will they be able to sell one in the style I already have or because of this new Evo is my style obsolete. It is the standard one that came with the series 2 Tjet.

I'd have thought so, yes. If not, as Garree001 said, there will be ones on ebay/scrap yards/car clasifieds which will be in a good condition.

Also, if it was clearly the other drivers fault who forced you into the curb why not see if there was any CCTV of what happened. Especially being on a motorway slip/roundabout there may be a good chance there will be highways cameras there.

How do you check that?

Get in contact with the local council/highways agency, explain what happened and if the incident was caught on camera.

Might take a while for anything to come of it though, just a thought for if it turns out to be more costly than you have expected when it was someone elses fault.

The other thing you could think about is - is the wheel able to be refurbished instead? A good refurb will set you back about 70 squid a corner tops. I got mine refurbished and they looked great. Just avoid poorly laid kirbs and flagstones after like I didn't lol ;)

And why not contact the police - they will (or should) get hold of any evidence.

Thanks for the info guys. It is a sunday tomorrow so unlikely to get much done. Will see what I can do.

sorry to hear that, if its the solid spoke design i have one for sale you can have if you need it asap?

Thanks for that. Yea it is the solid spoke design. I maybe interested if it comes to that. Will let you know. First got to see if they can put a tyre on it then possibly try one of these alloy wheel mobile repair specialist, assuming it can be repaired.

Can anyone suggest one in the South East London?
