Technical Sporting TB on an 899

Can you fit a Sporting throttle body to an 899 engine.

The answer is:

Yes.

The qualification is:

Why bother, they are the same size.

The inlet manifold on the 899 is part of the rocker box and is also 30mm in diameter, even after the aluminium spacer. There is some meat there to take it out to, possibly,32mm to fit a Punto 60 TB. The injector on the 899 is coloured yellow rather than orange, so it might be possible to put an orange injector in for more power.

the injector in my sx is orange i know because i tried to get the damn thing out and it wouldnt come out and when putting clamp back on a broke off the screw head so had to drill and retap

but seriosly what can be done because youve just basically said ive got a sporting injector so someones tried before

I have a yellow injector with a 30mm TB (just took it apart to measure today).
