Technical Sporting, small oil leak originating behind coils?

Hi, I have a small oil leak on a 02 Sporting MPI Seicento (finally got all the bigger ones sealed up!) It seems to originate behind the coils on the top right-hand side of the head. The cam cover is well sealed (I have also replaced both crankshaft seals and the sump). The exploded engine diagram (epiper) shows a seal behind the casting supporting the 2 coils. Is this a likely source of the small weep/leak which makes its way down the head and round the flywheel bell housing. If it is this I assume its not a big job to replace? Thanks in advance.

Yup, three bolts, take out coil housing, remove/refit O ring, replace coil housing.

Are you sure your breather is clear?

thanks ....... breather from cam cover to air filter seems fine (it isn't clamped on, just a push fit) Will pick up an O ring tomorrow and give that a try. Thanks again

Is the breather inside the cam cover clear?

If the cam cover can't breath properly you will get a build up in pressure leading to leaks.

I assume so although I'll double check tomorrow. I guess I can pull the rubber link pipe off and check from the outside so as not to break the cam cover seal again (3 attempts to get sealed last time!) .............. thanks

If it took three attempts to seal it last time I can almost guarantee that the top of the cam cover is gummed up solid.

Take it off, strip it down and clean it all.

Refit and don't overtighten the bolts.
