G'day all,

Wondering if anyone can help me?

I've lived in the UK for a year now and own the above vehicle.

As I am moving back to Aus I have to sell it (which sucks as it's my favourite vehicle I've ever owned. I'd bring it with but it doesn't meet strict Aussie safety standards.)

Anyway, I've been in Aus arranging my return and in that time my battery went flat. Upon jump starting the alarm decided to kick in.

Now I was never provided a fob for it on purchase, they stated it died years ago.

So, now I can sit in it with the engine running and door open, no probs. Close the door and the alarm goes off intermittently.

Is there an easy option to disable the alarm?

I would have thought my key in the ignition would do the trick but apparently not so.

Thanks! =)

I had an aftermarket alarm on my old Sei, I had a similar issue in that it would randomly go off. Despite being 'disarmed'! It didn't light the hazards or immobilise it. So as a quick fix we cut the wire to the siren, fitted a spade connector so that it could be turned of easy. I think it was damp in the electrics as after a few occasions (and some brighter weather) it stopped. Hopefully yours will magically fix itself too!
