Don't know who to vote for?
Can't be bothered with any of them?
It is important that your voice is heard.

I urge you to 'spoil' your ballot paper to register your disaffection.

Fouled ballots are counted and returned: if there was a statistically significant rise in the number of fouled ballots at the next ellection it could be seen as a vote of 'No Confidence' in the current system.

ALTERNATIVELY
NOTA-UK The Campaign For A Fairer Vote
In order to be able to send a clear message to the political establishment that enough is enough, we need to be able to register a positive abstention by having "None Of The Above" as an option on the ballot paper.

Voting for somebody is better than spoiling your ballot. Even if you put your X next to the BNP, it sends a stronger message than NOTA. It says you don't agree with immigration. Vote for UKIP which says you don't agree with being in the EU, both of which have been central planks of Government policy for at least the last decade. Vote for the Greens if you like because that will show.....that you.....don't like.....er.....cars. OK, forget the last one.

Tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions around the world would love to their name on a ballot paper. Make the most of it.

the only worry with that is thats how niche partys get seats
happened in Germany with a nazi party through a combination of this and voter apathy

Are you for real??? Voting BNP is better than spoiling your vote ?
Both BNP and UKIP have funded each others campaign and are clearly racist parties.I would much rather ppl spoil their vote than encourage racist parties.
I would rather live in a country of asylum seekers and immigrants that racists.

I don't get it, are you voting no confidence in the electoral system or no confidence in the electorates?

Either way, this makes no sense to me.

Its pretty retarded as it means labour will stay in power and **** the country up a bit more.

better than the cons getting in they put the county in the crap its in today, if they hadn't sold off all we had and closed down all our industry, not only would we have been better off in the last recession but also we would have had money to keep us going in this one.

this recession we are in now cant all be blamed on labour as its a world recession.

dont waste your vote

Not really, its browns budgets and spending from when he was chancellor that havent helped us. Im not wasting my vote but im not voting for that useless **** whos in charge now.

Manufacturing would of moved out the country anyway. Anyone with any business sense would do it for the good of their company as its so much cheaper to make stuff abroad and import.

And for those of us old enough to remember what the Cons (apt name?) did to the country...

I can never understand the goldfish mentality of the general public. We have a couple of terms of lab then a couple of terms of con, blue, red, blue, red.
Why are people so quick to forget how these parties have treated us in the past?
Vote Libdem - oooh no, I couldn't possibly do that, have you seen their policy on...

So it looks like you'll be voting for Arthur Daley then?
It's about time a party was held accountable - you said in your manifesto that you would...
How about imposing time limits? With most jobs you are employed on a trial basis, after initial training and regular supervision, if you don't perform to standard you are out - so why is it any different with MPs?
Hundreds of them sit in parliament so why can they not regulate themselves? Have the opposition leader stand up and ask why things haven't been done & call for an election if election promises aren't fulfilled.
The manifesto should be a legally binding document.

The stranglehold of the unions was a major player in shutting down much of our industry.
No politician had the cahoneys to stand up to these bullies. Union leaders feathered their own nests at the expense of their members.
Strike action should always be a last resort.
One reason why it's cheaper to import is because governments are committed to supporting international trade. if they slapped the same restrictions on imports as they do on home-grown goods, you'd find people buying British - not for the quality but for the price.
As Dyson once said, he was never given any encouragement by the UK Government for his inventions, he was thwarted at every turn so he went abroad & was welcomed with open arms and open chequebooks. cheap rent & loans to set up a factory - that country benefits because of all the people he employs and all the money going into the country from the rest of the world.
What happened to North Sea oil & gas? I remember the speaches at the time - how we would be a world power, wealth beyond our wildest dreams etc. Yet look out at the North sea at night, every rig is burning off millions of cubic feet of gas - seemingly, it's not economical to pump it ashore - yet it's economical for me to cook with Russian gas?

i wont vote libdem as they have been the local govenment here for ages and are crap at that, so couldnt trust them with a whole country. vote labour then hound them to pick a new leader is the best bet
Tories in charge round here - making a right pig's ear of things.
Libdems are the most popular party but due to the stupid way voting works the tories have most seats. Libdems are the hardest workers for the people, tories just give off a lot of hot air.

Well the conservatives near me have sorted out all the potholes down the country lanes near me so its all good
We originally had (insert good old fashioned Irish name) doing all the roadworks, you never got a decent job (I reckoned it was because they kept back half the tarmac for themselves!
Recently, another company was given the contract & they are working really hard to mend potholes properly - not simply dropping in some hot tar & tamping it down, but chopping out a large section of road & replacing.

Cant say i can remember that far back. Can only go on current times. After all we dont live in the past so we should look to the future.

But you should look at the past, it's often the only way we can look forward.
There was a time when tories were for the money men and labour worked hard for the workforce.
Nowadays, they are all pigs with their snouts in the same trough - they are all only interested in money - their own money.

As I've said, the manifesto should be a legally binding document - if you examine the past you will see that the reds and blues have always made promises (with a glint in their eye and a sparkle from their teeth) which they never keep. They are nothing more than used car / double glazxing salesmen - once they have your vote, they no longer care about you.
The tories even put a woman in charge - it worked, they poached the female vote - and yet Thatcher's track record left a lot to be desired (milk anyone?).

So hung parliament with lib dem and conservative or labour would be best?

A coaltion government would be best.

After all, because of the multi-party system, there were times when the tories ruled with a minority percentage of votes.
The majority of the electorate don't want them but voter apathy and multi-party system allows the same 2 parties to keep on coming back.

The leader & deputy leader of each party could thrash things out round a table, with the rest of their party watching via television & internet links.
At least then every decision should be a compromise for everyone rather than one party riding roughshod.

We have a big issue at the moment with Labours plans to build a high speed rail link twixt london and Brum. Costing over £30million, it will shave about 20 minutes off a journey. It will do nothing for us because we won't be able to access the trains.
The track will cut right through an area of outstanding natural beauty, it will be 75 metres wide (that's the width of an international football pitch).
Many homes have already been affected in terms of decreased value - so many people are facing serious negative equity and many homes will see compulsory purchase.
the local Tory is spouting the usual drivel (If my party gets in we will do everything in our power to oppose...) yet his party's manifesto clearly states they fully support the link and realise the need to have a high speed network across Britain.
I wonder how many voters will still be taken in by his charm & lies?
