just out of interest....

if a 1.2 punto spi makes 60bhp and the mpi makes 75bhp
the how comes 1.1 seis both make the same?

or have i cocked up the punto part
or is it over differences in the engine?

Different cam, compression ratio and better airflow into the 75 engine.

so wot is the advantage of mpi to fiat cos surely its more expensive to implent than spi?

Yes, but it was an easy option I suppose to offer something between the 60bhp 1242 and the 90bhp 1.6 in the case of the Punto.

For the Sei, it wouldn't meet the newest emissions targets with spi, more accurate metering can be done with mpi.
