Technical Speedo clusters (again)

Put new (to me ) speedo cluster in, works fine, but the Rev counter bit is very different from my original, no big plastic box with a capacitor (?) in it .. anyone shed any light?
Does anyone repair these clusters?

Cluster repairs. Co. Uk list Barchetta speedo cluster repair on their site. Don't know anything about them but might be worth a phone call.

My 1996 has no plastic box over the gas guage, it looks just as the one in the foreground of your picture

My 95 does not have the box either. I have never seen that before. It is shown on this page http://www.fiatbarchetta.com/btech/spz.html but doesn't indicate what it is.
