Hi all,

My speed sensor has just packed in and left me stranded, with a £300 recovery bill.

Were can you still buy these sensors or does anyone have one they are willing to part with or sell?

Please someone ASAP.

Suppose to be showing the car next weekend so time is against me.

Ta all

Tony.

crank shaft sensor can be got from eurocar parts part no:419650180

how did yours go? the usual is it falls onto the exhaust manifold and burns out, needs to be well cable tied out of the way

I have no idea Jai,

I had an open circuit contiunity reading so I pulled the sensor out and the end was missing. And a load of the copper wiring was hanging out a right mess it was.

Cheers for those details phoned them earlier but were of no help. Refered me to Fiat and they were also useless.

Oh it's the speed sensor that's gone the one in the fly wheel (gearbox) sensor do you have it's part number?

Cheers all,

Tony.

Ouch, sounds like it was set a bit too close to the ring gear and the end's been worn off!

It is a simple VR sensor, and they are all pretty much the same in behaviour, it's just the packaging that varies. If I couldn't find an original UT sensor I would look for a similar one from another Fiat, with the right connector. This one looks close...270335825161 on eBay.

Cheers R

Hi Rach,

Aye spotted them but just wasn't sure.

Managed to source one from Fiat Inverness. Wanted £84 for it but because it has been on the shelf for so long gave me 20% off to £65 bucks all in. A bit more than I wanted to pay but at least it gets the car back on the road.

Cheers,

Tony.
