in the same documentary they go into a wall mart and buy them (cheap as chips) they showing how you can buy the whole stock of them without explaining what you can use them for and not having to have any authorisation.

wall mart stopped selling bullets after that

That "free gun with car" promotion does display terms and conditions:

And don't forget different states have different gun laws, so this kind of promotion is likely to be totally illegal in states like New York and California. Totally stupid idea though to give away a free gun, and why would anyone would go and buy a car just because it came with a free pistol worth bugger all? :nutter:
