I don't normally venture into this section but generally it is 18K miles for changing the plugs on a '500' engine. I did get the NGK Iridium and found no difference between them and the standard NGK but they do last longer. On the last change I used Denso Iridium and I thought it was worthwhile changing to them even though it is technically in breech of warranty. They don't last as long as the NGK Iridium and are more expensive. I don't know if they are available for the 1.8 16V engine. In the US they have 'spoken' about using the NGK Iridium (for emissions) in the new 500 but it hasn't happened yet.
