Technical Spark Plug Socket

Does anyone know of a tool which will reach the plugs on a 1.2 16V Sporting? I have a Draper 12mm 1/2" drive socket but it's too wide to go down the hole to reach the plugs. Any advice would be appreciated.

you need to go to halfords etc and get a plug socket,im not a 100% but it will probably be the smallest of the two,measure the hole and that should tell you the size

I wish it was that simple! Spark plugs are made in 3 sizes. The common ones are 14mm and 10mm but the Punto 16V uses 12mm plugs which are very rare. My local Halfords warehouse does not stock any 12mm plug sockets, only the 10mm & 14mm ones. However, I obtained a socket from a tools web site but it's too big to go down the hole. What is needed is a very thin-walled socket - it may be that a special socket has to be obtained from Fiat but has anyone overcome this problem? By the way, the 8V engine uses 'normal' spark plugs.

can always get a socket and put rubber hose inside the upper half of the socket,might just have to shop around for a suitable socket[V]
