Spark Plug change in Brava 1.6 T reg

Hi Folks,

Sorry if im asking the obvious, but just bought a Brava and wud like to change the spark plugs. As this is my first Fiat Im not sure of process. Any advice appreciated.

Hi,

The spark plugs are under the leads. They just pull out and the spark plugs are then ready to take out. Be carefull when your pulling the leads out as sometimes the rubber gromet at the bottom of em can come off in the spark plug, so ul av2pik at it for 10 minutes trying to get it out.

If you do get the leads off without any hitch, before refitting them smear a tiny bit of vasaline on the ceramic portion of the plug before fitting them that way when you refit the leads the next time you need to change them it will be easier to remove them.
Also if you can replace the leads with a new set as you will get a better spark from the new plugs with new leads too.

Thanks guys..was just worried as the plugs are quite deep on the engine block and didnt want to cross thread the new plugs putting them back in..no need for a hose for this then ?
