hi there everyone

sorry to be asking this but am having trouble getting an ignition feed:bang:

have read through the guide but the car i am fitting a stereo to doesn't have electric windows, r reg cinquecento. have had a look at fitting a wire from the cigarette lighter, (sounds easy) but when i have had a look there is 6 wires that go to it (only ever thought they needed 3)

there is 2 red (1 has black strip on it)
2 black (1 striped)
2 yellow (1 has black strip on it)

have put a wire from both reds (1 at a time of cause) ans same with yellow ones,
when connected to either yellows have no power, but when connected to either red it stays on permanently

would there be anywhere else i could us as an ignition feed, as i have already stated the car doesn't have electric windows or mirrors. am only asking due to not owning or having access to a volt meter

also the stereo wont work unless the aerial is plugged in (never known any car that has done this)

any help/advice will be much appreciated

Hey there welcome to the forum. LOL At the Aerial thats a bit random.
You can splice off of the Ignition barrel which is normally the orange one.

Yes. I'm not sure if your car has it but mine has a cover underneath the steering column which allows access to the ignition barrel then test there with a power tester switing the engine on and off etc.
I think mine was yellow? Not certain though

Just had my cover off tonight as I was re-wiring something, the yellow wire is sidelight feed. Just for future reference
