Hi, I'v been reading loads of posts about faulty lambda sensors and I think this may be the source of my problem. Shortly after getting my Cinq Sporting the injection warning light would intermittently appear for half a minute or so and then disappear again. Well I thought the problem had sorted itself as I have not seen this light for about 3 weeks however yesterday morning on way to work my car just died a few miles down the road. Now it won't start-just keeps turning engine. Any ideas welcome or is the lambda sensor a dead cert?

Cheers

I wouldn't have thought the lambda would stop ur engine starting at all? Best to check all ur connections going to the sensors, i.e on the air box, lambda, ecu etc... u never know, they may have just come loose, this happened to me once, and i just took off the cable blew it out, put it back on and never had any trouble since

Hi let us all know if you solve the problem, see possibly similar(but still unsolved) probs in
https://www.fiatforum.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7981. My Cinq is going in on Thursday, hopefully to be sorted out. I will post the outcome.

My Fto Isn't Asmuch Trouble

Hi, my dad spoke to a mechanic at a fiat garage today and he rekons it might be the crankshaft sensor - apparently he had one in last week with a similar problem and replacing this sorted it. I can't say I'v heard of this before myself, anyone else had any probs with this sensor?

Cheers

Hi, Just to let you know, the problem is fixed now. The fuel pump had "lost it's earth". Haven't got the bill yet though..(fiat garage so could be nasty for something even this simple).

A lost earth means the pump cannot complete the circuit it is part of - so will not work.

It could be something as simple as a snapped wire, broken connector, or if yure unlucky, the pump may have broken internally:(- thats the expensive option!
