Yes, the wheels look tarty and it's also a bit naff how he's painted the rear bash plate and the side Cross logos.

Slovak Post van; now that's a proper yellow (JCB anyone?). Note the 4x4 wheels, also "proper" winter tyres are mandatory.

Not quite sure what you mean by "rim protectors" but these are steel wheels with the 4x4 detailed "hub cap".

If you zoom in on the rear wheel for example it has definitely not been protected (ding at 4 o'clock) and you can see a balance weight at 8 o'clock.

Most cars around here have two sets of wheels; the ones with the winter tyres tend to be skanky steel rims.

On the original pic the yellow edging on the rim could be rubber(?) rim protectors.

They are rim protectors they are a hard plastic that you have to apply with a mallet, that will be why the colour isn’t 100%.

Great idea but on those diamond cut rims they will probably do more damage than they prevent.
