Not much of a guide, but thought some of you might be interested in seeing some of the photos I took during last weeks timing belt change job... Perhaps they can be useful for someone doing some background research before taking to their own 1.2 Fiat engine and seeing what goes where etc.

Ps, depending on when I took the photo, things might be sitting wrong or in the wrong place prior to how they were set up before re-building it..

Here is yesterday's 500 1.2 2011 cam belt in all its glory following 13 years in service and 86,700 miles. I gave it a medal

Original tensioner was Litens brand.
Skf replacement kit.
No noises following replacement.
Skf specify set tensioner to max tension , rotate crank at least 2 full turns , then set tension to service tension. I turned crank many more times to settle the belt in its final neutral running position then set tension. I wonder if the above helps avoid belt noise following replacement. Plus skf list one belt kit up to 2008 and another post 2008.
