does anybody know if smoked headlights indicators side repeaters or rear clusters are illigal in the uk? all the ones i see are from germany.

afaik smoked headlamps are illegal,side indicators/repeaters fine and rear clusters are a grey area as its down to the individual copper as to whether they are okay ,if you are buying them they should be okay,if you are spraying them its a matter of trial and error,although i have seen light tints on headlamps i think its fashion overtaking common senseB)

Pretty much agree. Rear clusters can be smoked if you either mask off the fog lights and reflectors or fit separate fog lights and reflectors. (IMHO - I may be wrong, feel free to disagree).
The gray area is whether the smoking reduces the light output to below legal limits. You may get away with just leaving the reflectors, they are the most noticeable and you would be unlucky to get picked up for smoked fogs alone.
