Technical Smell of fuel in the car

Hi guys just picked up my car a few days ago when I have my heater on every so often I smell fuel any ideas what this could be

I had this. It was a loose fuel injection hose. It was clear to see when look under bonnet and remove cover. What engine you got?

Had similar problem but blocked breather hose

check your breather pipe for any sort of cracks or damage, quite a common problem i believe

Breather common problem dude first thing i had to fix on mine

Its a pretty poor design, that the fan seems to draw air from the engine compartment when you pull up.
Anything going on under the hood can be smelled in the cab.
We had a small oil leak for a few weeks until i found the source.
Stunk the car out.

Its only covered for engine and gearbox where my engine is the 1.4 8v where abouts do I need to look I'm not very good at mechanical stuff sorry to be a pain

check on the guides section buddy there's a guide on there reference the changing of a breather pipe for the 1.2 and 1.4.

If youve had it a number of days they will/should sort it if not give them the keys back

Took the car to the garage to get the Cambelt changed and I asked them to look at what the smell was coming from they said the hose to the air filter. Sorry for being silly but is this the same as the breather thanks any one send me any links for the correct one on ebay

I would say if you are getting the smell of fuel in the cabin of the car mate then yeah the bigger hose is definitely needed. I personally just think if one has gone then the other one has also as they are only rubber and they perish. I have replaced both of mine at the same time mate.

Thanks guys I have purchased both I will check back into the guides for how too but I'm sure its simple appreciate it
