Please can somebody give me advise. I have recently purchased a 2006 Fiat Punto mk1 1.3 multijet. The car was awesome in the beginning but now after 3 weeks I have noticed that at about 2 to 2.2 revs the car jerks a bit and then runs fine. I have taken it for a diagnostic test and the service centre has told me it is injector 4 that is damaged. I am new to diesel vehicles and am not sure what I should do. Could it be something else as the price on the replacement injectors is very steep.
It sometimes feels as if the car floods itself like a petrol engine but then after 2 to 5 seconds it runs fine. I have not lost any handling or even suffered from high fuel consumption.
Any advise will be gladly accepted. One last thing is that the car idles at 800rpm. Is this normal and if not how do I adjust this
