Slave cylinder issue?

The boss has just got to work and his missus is having problems with her 1.25 Festa.

It is losing brake fluid and the clutch pedal is really heavy. Clutch is not slipping.

Is this just a new slave cylinder?

When my slave went, my clutch was light, not heavy...

Hmm, any ideas then? Could be some Brownie-Points in it for me. LOL! ;)

Turns out the pedal is light Daz so I think we have a winner.

Ta.

If it is the slave cylinder on the fiesta it may be a bitch to change as i think they are inside the gearbox not outside like the bravo :(

Sounds about right Andy. His mechanic said it may be the slave and that the clutch may as well be done at the same time so that's maybe why.

Cheers guys.

Clutch isn't slipping Tom. Read the post carefully FFS! ;) (TIC)

Didn't know Fiestas had changed from cables? If it's the slave, gear selection would be difficult or even impossible!

I think it is. My gaffer is totally illiterate when it comes to cars and seeing as he doesn't drive I suppose that's fair enough.

Over the course of the day the "symptoms" keep changing and that now seals it as he's just said "Oh yeah, it is like that".

Bless him. ;)

Shabash!
