fitted an omp strut brace the other day. made sure it was all secure and then off i went. 3 days later went to check the fluid levels and found the k&n filter sitting on the rocker cover. has anyone else had the same problem or is it just me lol.

Too tight = pushes k&n up and off
Too loose = works its way off
If you get the rubber seal right to the bottom and tighten it up quite tight (not really tight), they you'll find that it shouldnt come off again!

on the older k&n's this would go through the actual filter, however on the newer ones could probably get away with it as it would come through the top, one thing ive always wondered mind is do those bolts being inside it affect the air intake? as it might provide more resistance?fixitagaintomorrow said:oops, back on topic. Probaby the best way to keep it on would be to fit a bolt or two down through the top into the original airbox mounting holes. Must admit I haven't checked to see if they would appear in a handy place on the top of the filter though.
