My Local shop/garage have quoted me 400 to:
fix Rieger rear apron
blend apron
paint apron
paint rear door insert (badly faded)
paint sills (faded too)
But m8 recommended another guy, 200 for the paint job, extra 100 to blend the seem! RESULT Except he's off on hols for 2 WKS
Sorely tempted to get an isert for that rear door and have him blend it all (Yours looks so damn goood) but I'm intent on replacing the front door handles for Marea ones now the rubber getting worn, so guess I have leave the boot alone.
Duno if I can be patient enough to wait till he gets Back!
He did say (since I'd bought some of the v cheap off the shelf paint sparay) that I could have a go (I never have sparayed anything before), and (when I've no doubt finished my crap effort) it could be sanded down and may or may not need priming.
Still reluctant to fix it in the meantime tho, but I've been reading (thru past threads)that suggest easiest way is to fix it first then spray anyway.
I duno how some of you must fix such trims securely, if not bonded with silicone, when you have managed it seems to seperate them again when selling off at a later date. Anyone care to let me in on your methods (self tapping screws would be imposs to hide)!!??
