Hello there,
I have a problem with the boot latch solenoid not working. The voltage provided by the signal cable fluctuates from about 5 to 7.5 volts ish for a short period then reverts back to its ground voltage of 0/0.3 volts. I have checked the cable at various points in the car and the voltage is the same when the boot release switch is activated.
Has anyone had this issue or fixed it ? I have checked the solenoid on a 12 v signal and it works. The cabling in the rubber grommet between the boot and the body was badly fatigued and they have been fixed.
