Ive taken the thin sticker sidestrips off my 99 sei, and was going to leave it bare metal.

the only problem is that im struggling to remove the sticky residue, even with a dab of thinners.

does anyone have any good tips on how to get the stickyness off?

if not, I may be forced to give Fiat a silly amount of money for thick plastic strips (anyone have any for sale?!)

cheers!

I found just using your fingers to rub the glue off worked better than thinners or petrol.
Give it a good wash and polish off afterwards just to get rid of any thinner residue

thinners? i.e white spirit? i had a whole roof graphic in vinyl and found that, between white spirit, a huge amount of elbow grease, fingernails and crappy store cards, it came off.. ooo.. also a hairdryer was good at makin it softer and therefore easier to shift.

No, the sidestrips on early sportings are just stickers.

i have '99T, is that early enough? I want to replace them with either the black sei SX ones or leave it yellow, not sure yet.
