07 Doblo Cargo 1.3 multijet 240,000kms regularly serviced
After 4ish years of troublefree motoring the van recently failed it's DOE. Discs and pads (corrosion around the edge), Check engine light (EGR), Worn wiper linkages. I expect the wiper repair to be the most expensive.
These repairs will get it through the test, however, there is a knock starting in the CV joints and there is a bit of judder on takeoff (I suspect the clutch is on the way out).
So that's the question; Should I get rid of it? It's a lot of money to spend on a van that is probably worth about €1,000 repaired, only to find that the chain snaps in 6 months (it has a slight rattle now). How many miles can I expect from this engine?
