General should i buy? what to look for!

Hi,

I am thinking of buying a 52 reg stilo dynamic. after reading some of the comments on here, i was wondering if you could advise me on the plus and negative points of this model.any help would be appreciated.thanks DD

That's what I have. A 1600 dynamic 5 door with 17" alloys. I love getting into it and enjoying the ride every time. Had a Focus (2.0 Ghia) and it just ain't the same. Many people comment on the car and it's something they love or hate. It's something different to all the golfs and focus's. It's a bit special to me anyway. It must be that Italian flair and design that we always hear about. And the extra's, too many to list. Go for it.

Stilo 1.6 Dynamic. Jet blue and standard.

Things to look out for.....

1. Make sure all lights work
2. Make sure door seals don't whistle
3. Make sure doors lock, and funnily enough unlock, some stick locked
4. Check for front tyre wear (check inner edges of tyres)
5. All button inside work
6. No broken trim, check the clips that hold the parcel shelf in
7. Listen for rattles etc
8. check all paper work, servicing etc!

Are they around 6 to 7k at that reg and model?

I wouldn't pay £6k+ for a 2 year old Stilo, i only paid @£6k for my pre-reg 53 plate car!

I thought you paid 7k Stiloboy? The dynamic is a fair bit more new than the 1.2 active though.

What engine does the car have?

Stilo TURBO!!!!(diesel)

Wow quite a few replies, not bad!

I do like the Dynamic but have been a bit put off by reading people's fault finding..does the dynamic have the on board computer something or other..that always seems to fail I keep reading!?!? Don't fancy driving down the motorway and the car cuts out because the pc failed on it..get me?!
