:) Hi all!!

I'm a Fiat wannabe(!) so please be patient with me.

My Renault Laguna has given up the ghost, and not wanting to purchase another heap of French junk, ,Ive been looking elswhere.
I found a Brava 1.8 ELX on a W plate with 75k on the clock for £3495 at a local dealer. Superb nick and a really peach looking car, nice pale metallic blue.

Now, what Im hoping y'all can help me with, is that a good price for a Brava, and are there many pitfalls/quirks with the Brava I should look for?

All help greatly appreciated and I look forward to being a Fiat owner and join the gang!!

Cheers
in advance :)
Phil

well you wanna check if you have both blue keys and the important red key.

at 75k i would recccommend a cambelt change asap
if you have a suroof check the pillars on the driver and paasanger side so see if you get a white powdery stain - if you hvae then the roof is leaking.

Welcome to the forum :D

I cant help unless you're buying a cinq.... and im not much help then either :p

Cheers guys,

Further info, no sunroof, but does have aircon, cheers for advice on keys, will check that tomorrow, and I think the cambelt has been changed, again will check that.

Also, Ive got a Sony CDX-MP40 MP3 head unit in the Lag, will it slot over into a Brava?

Cheers again guys

Phil :)

May/probably will need a different adaptor to fit the headunit into the brava, can get them from halfords or equiv places for about £12 i think :)

all i can help with as only really any use with cinqs and to a degree some ice :p

welcome to the forum btw :)

Hi all,

Just wanna say many thanks for all your help so far, you all really helped me decide, went back for another look and test drive tonight and decided to go for it. :D
just to elaborate on your advice, all keys icluding red one and the code card were present, and hes giving it a full service including cambelt change before we can pick it up, guys a local dealer well known to my partners family, and he does all his business locally by word of mouth from a little showroom in a little village, and hes got a great reputation for good quality cars!

S, I'm very much looking forward to being a Fiat owner, and to speaking to you all again soon!!!

Many thanks again :)
Phil

damn, wish I saw this thread earlier, was only going to comment on the miles on the car, but if its all checked out good and no signs of wear and tear then enjoy :)

All I would of added was a comparison to my brava but no point now, you got that one :D

I've had my Brava for 2 months now and 5k miles and it's spot on, my only problem is I can't bring myself to get rid of the Teapot that it replaced.......

It's a 2000 W reg Brava SX JTD 105 in red (got a factory spoiler, which is a nice finishing touch). Bought with 40k on clock, 12 mths tax, Towbar (I have a trailer so any Brava/oMarea I got would have had to have had one put on), & a Sony head unit already fitted. £3450

Good Luck with it
