there is an orange ring around the sig lighter between the seats. is this supposed to light up with the headlights like everything else in the car?

yes bud, mine does it on the barth and it did it on the 1.6 
yep, mine glows orange
and another thing i worked out last night, if you press the 2 spot lights on the interior lights at the front (on the left and right), only they come on, yet press the main one and the back lights come on as well

you have backlights?
so is the orange ring on the same fuse as the cig lighter or a different one? as my cig lighter works but the orange ring doesnt???

yes, i do have rear lights in mine , not sure if they are different as i have the skyroof, but they are on either side, and ligt up quite good so that rear passengers can get in easily and do belts up etc
also still have the orange glow, does anyones have puddle lights still on an o5 plate?, i think mine has

my 03 plate with no skyroof had orange cig lighter light up, puddle lights, and a rear passenger light (inside the car)
04 plate with skyroof has orange cid lighter, puddle lights and rear passenger lights either side of the skyroof.
I know a few stilo's didn't have puddle lights, just the reflectors, but I believe a bulb can be fitted as the wiring is there.

puddle lights the ones in the doors? if yes then yeah i have them.

not that they exactly light up puddles as you have more then likely already walked through them to get in the car
i have a orange light in my cigarette light and puddle lights but no rear interior lamp

could someone tell me what fuse the cig lighter light is on?
im assuming it is a different fuse to the cig lighter as that is still working. it looks like it should light up as all the parts/wiring is there for it.

All Stilo's have illuminated cigarette lighters, the orange ring should come on with your headlights.
Later 3dr Stilos (can't remember what year, our 55 didn't have it) deleted the rear light - it is not retrofittable either.

i have a 3dr stilo, i have reer centre lights, almost the same as the front lights, and my ciggy lighter glows orange, but the orange glow is on a different fuse than the fuse for the actuall lighter, i know this becouse my ring lights up even when i blow the fuse for the lighter, it works now though as i have a new fuse,

thanks for that guys but back to the question, do you know what fuse the orange ring light is on?
I'll go look it up in a sec, although I severely doubt it's the fuse. More likely to be the bulb on the unit itself.
There is no direct fuse, it is managed by the Body Computer on the instrument panel illumination line, which is protected by Fuse F37.
