Ok, not all together fiat but...

I've been looking for a bodyshell on e-bay for a while for a project... I've seen some "new still in factory primer" shells listed as "spare parts". So if I have two Identical shells, and I transfer all the parts from say a choroded one to a "new" one is it still the same car? I'm guessing not. So why do bodyshops hold spare bodyshells? Does anybody know?

P.s. if anybody has an escort cosworth motorsport shell and wants to get rid please let me know.

Cos new cars which end up rolled are reshelled and resold.

Ok... this goes back to my original question: Is it still the same car... Ok, so if you don't tell the DVLA then yes, but is it legal.
