General Sexy new Stilo??

Can't beleive that no one has posted anything on the 2006 Stilo (on sale in 18 months time). Saw pictures of it in 3 door form in yesterdays Auto Express. Looks really smart and sharing the same but extended platform as the new Astra, it should drive well too. I'm not technical enough to post the pictures so I suggest you go to the Library (otherwise known as WH Smiths) and take a look at page 14 or buy the mag for £1.80.

I hope fiat does produce that car. I think it'll be a real winner if those pictures are anything to go by, can't see it coming with those wheels though! Looks a bit 307 from the back which is no bad thing but that front end is really great, love the large grill.

The real problem with the current Stilo is the back end imo. On the 3 door it looks too fat and just a little odd on the 5 door it is too square. The designers should have tapered the roof at the back on the 5 door and that would have made it look that little bit better. I think my 5 door can look attractive at the right angle but many think it is ugly. I think it has improved with age given that many on the cars coming on market now have a similar style, i.e. the new golf and the new Astra.

My personal opinion for the "new stilo" is that Fiat is not going to name it again as Stilo...

Remember...

Ritmo=>Tipo=>Bravo=>Stilo=>.........

The promblem with the Italians is that they do not want to make a tratition like VW with Golf...

I dont blame them... they prefer marketing than tratition... you cant have everythig....

So watch this and tell me an opinion...

i sure hope Fiat make that Stilo that was in Auto Express..
They need to sort out the arse on it though - looks too much like a Peugeot 307.... EUGH!!

and they really must put the 3.2 Litre Current GTA engine in as the Abarth...

Fiat want to return to Profitability by 2007 - well they need to pull out the stiops in the design deparment...

Alfa are on a tight budget but just look at the Alfa Brera and 159 !!

the new Stilo looks anything like that printed in the Auto Express I will be buying one when it's launched, I'll either trade mine up or sale mine privately, I'll keep you posted.

I'm wondering if it'll look like that picture or if they'll tone it down and will it still carry the name Stilo or will they drop it because of it's current sales figures and reputation, Jenny Vickers was caught behind the bike sheds with Gary Vaghaun and she said yeah, but no, but yeah, we were just having a fag and I love the new Stilo, but will it be a Stilo, oh my God, I don't believe you just said that...................................
