Some weeks ago my service light went on at 15000 km It was just oilchange at 15000 km and some controll points .i do that myself .
At 16000 km the service light was gone without doing anything.
Good !! I save some money.
Then i tried to unconnect the potentiometer at the clutchpedal for the annoying fast idle when the clutchpedal is half released. It was working good as a normal car but then the engine-error lamp went on. Grrrrrrr!!
I put the potentiometer back again an get the annoying high idle again but the engine lamp was still on and the text on display: CHECK THE ENGINE, CHECK THE ENGINE!!!
It was that way in a coupple of days and i was on my way to contact the workshop But then i disconnect the negativ cable on the battery over night. I thought :maybee this will work because i use to do that on my BMW bike when i got error codes . And that worked on the Fiat too . HURRAY!!
