not quite sure of the problem. The handbook explains how to start the car if the immobiliser won't respond to the key. it's a sequence of pressing the throttle and turning the key.
Just found out that my car has no code for emergency start up as it's too old (1996). The damn thing won't start even with the red key. The fiat dealers are lookng at it but i am afraid they will want to change my ecu costing loads. Has anyone had this problem or know how to remedy it?
If your car is a 1.4 then you can get an alternative ECu much cheaper than Fiat. I believe it has had the immobiliser knobbled so you won't have you change locks code ECU etc.
