what kind of sensor fault are you getting ,if it is fuel sensor fault then you will find a few threads on this forum relating to this problem, ask cmc as well as many others we all seem to get this fault normally while low on fuel, its a problem that nobody including fiat seem to be able to aknoledge or fix

still got the problem Andy I've more or less given up on it now! I'm back into the dealer on Saturday however to get a new shock aborber to hopefully cure a knocking noise from the offside rear and for them to look at my Aircon which is now busted!

The joys of Fiat! Shocker is under warranty I'm note so sure about the aircon! :(

been having a problem with this for a week or so now has come on four times, first time let AA have a crack at it, cleared it and said it would be ok, came on again two days later, so took it to dealer who did same, and then it did it again two days later so took it back to dealer who, before i even said a word, "has the engine warning light come on again" with a ratehr cheerful smile!!! So this time they uploaded some new software as apparently the particular senor which is cauising the problem (they havent actually said which one) is known to Fiat Uk and all that and the have modified the ECU programming...

As you would expect i assumed this would work but yet again on my way home from work yesterday that annoying little beep with the accompanying spanner and engine shaped light appeared, so they are being informed to order a new sensor and also why they are there check why my car judders at full lock when you first start it in amorning or when its been stood for a while!!!

yeip, I've had a new dash panel, new fuel pump, new fuel sensor and it's still not cured. I think judging by the fact that more and more people are beginning to notice this leads me to think it's just a design probelm that will never be cured.

It doesn't impare performance (touch wood!) it's just a bit annoying.

Well I'm back in the club - had the fuel level sesor fault return this morning (needle just nudging the red). Like you say it must be a design fault as there seems to be more people reporting it now.

Given that you're still having the problem after having new pump and sensor fitted as well as the dash panel I night try sticking the battery out of a JTD in mine when I get back from holiday as the battery on the 1.6 isn't really man enough for all the gadgets (unlocking the doors with the engine running makes the headlights dim!!!) and voltage fluctuations are the cause for most of the false errors.

Is that with the 1.6 Active?
Cos thats made me think, what about the Dynamic with the extra electrical stuff thats installed in that

Well I assume that the bame batery is used on the Active and Dynamic so it will probably be under a greater strain in the Dynamic given the increased level of gadgets and gizmos.

There have been some posts in the past about random ASR/ABS messages amongst others and these seem to have been cured by replacing the battery with a higher capacity one.

Out of curiosity, does anyone else suffer with dimming headlights if they unlock the doors whilst the engine is running?

I've not noticed the headlights dimming (yet) but i'll check! I noted you're earlier post on this subject and you thougnt it was fixed that's a bugger. Let us know whether the new battery cures it mate.

Cheers
