Hi guys, my Fiat Siecento clutch cable has snapped today ( being a sunday grrrr ) i have read a few site about replacement and it sounds rather difficult. is there a step by step guide anyone has..... with pictures as ive never changed one before.

Or would it be simpler to get this done at a garage ?

and is this part easily obtainable.. or is it another dealer job ?

Any factor should be able to get one -- they're not expensive, anyway. 899 and 1108 use different cables.

The only difficulty is that on cars with power steering you need to remove the ECU from the passenger footwell to gain access to the servo cover, which is itself tight up under the dash with a very difficult to access top screw.

There is aguide to doing it on an 899 (see guides) which is otherwise similar.

Under the bonnet remove the nut from the end of the cable holding it onto the clutch arm.
Remove the 2No 10mm nuts holding the cable plate to the rear bulkhead.
Remove passenger seat (4 bolts) not necessary but makes the job a whole lot easier.
Lie on back in passenger footwell and remove the black cover (3 crosshead screws).
Remove split pin from end of cable.
Remove cable from engine bay side..

In true Haynes fashion, Refitting is the reverse sequence to removal.

Should take half an hour ish.

Theres a guide on a cinq clutch cable replacement, its essentially the same so I would use that
