I have a 2009 Scudo 2lt 140 multijet van. The nearside side door lock has just failed. You can hear the electric motor lock and unlock it, if you deadlock it the inside handle locks but when unlocked neither inside or outside handle will open the door. I have checked from the inside and there is nothing wrong with the handles, the operating wire rods are good and work; the problem is in the lock / latch assembly. As far as I can see there is no way of getting it off without opening the door to get at the two bolts. (But the door is closed and won't open!). Any suggestions?
