Hey guy at my college today even though i told him to mask my headlight has clipped my drivers side headlight with a Dual Action sander and left swirl marks on the plastic. Whats the best way to remove this. I know u can buy products that use different abrasive sandpapers and then polish at the end. This the best option for me as i can feel the swirls with my nail!.

GONNA KILL HIM!!!

Borrow the DA and sand them out. Depends how deep the marks are depends what grade of paper to start with. For stonechips on my BMW lights I had to go to 800 and do several passes until the chips were out then up through 1200 2000 4000 then on to cutting and polishing stages. A rotary polisher is far quicker than a da for the polishing but the sanding needs to be done on a da or by hand as a rotary will wreck the lens with sandpaper. I did a wee write up if its any use to you w w w dot detailingworld dot co dot uk/forum/showthread.php?t=178436&highlight=headlight
sorry noobs cant post urls, remove the spaces and fix the dots
