The title says it all, my 2008 Bravo 150 T-Jet which has been driven 87000km is making a worrying scraping sound whenever I let go of the gas pedal and let the car decelerate in gear. The more the engine is braking the louder the sound so it's not as loud in 2nd gear and it's pretty much gone in 3rd. Turning the wheel doesn't seem to affect the sound and it disappears completely if I press the clutch or gas pedal. The sound is actually quite identical to the noise you get when the wheel is chafing against a mudguard. It's not super loud but it's loud enough to hear it in 1st gear even if the radio is on.
It seems that the noise began shortly after all the bearings had been replaced in the gearbox 2 weeks ago. The bearings were replaced due to a whine that was dependent on speed and I didn't have to pay for it, repairing the whine was part of the deal when I bought the car. All the gears work perfectly but I think I noticed some clutch slippage right after the tranny repair if I wasn't imagining things. The clutch seems to be working just fine now though and the original gearbox whine is gone as well but now there's this new noise instead and I have had the car for only a few weeks :bang:. I am taking the car back to the shop as soon as possible and I hope they'll fix this for free as well but I was just wondering that has anyone else experienced a similar scraping sound in a Bravo?
