Styling Scared To Modify

Does anyone else get the feeling they're scared to modify their motor from fear that it might get smashed up/nicked/burnt out?! Jealousy is something that every 16 yr old nob suffers from and it sends a chill down my spine when I see them looking at my car as I drive past. Scares the hell outta me because my old SX got broken into and CD's and player got pinched. Leaves a bitter taste as someone said in another thread. What's everyone's opinions?

lol i know what ya mean. but when i wanna mod my car i think really hard about what i wanna do and if i really wanna do it or not coz i dont wanna make a mess of it or for it too look tacky. do you now what i mean?

I'd do it, but Im also fuelled by the fact that the Sporting is more secure than Fort Knox when Im at home! (Cat 1>2 Alarm + Immobiliser in a Garage!), Its just the other 364 days a year I worry about.

I know what you mean. I don't wanna do much to the exterior. It's all going under the bonnet[8D]

I have recently put an alarm on my Cinq. Made me feel much happier. At home it doesn't bother me because when it's dark, it's in the garage. It botheres me when I park it anywhere. The thought of some little scally f**k maiming my car makes my blood boil!

just make sure u get an alarm, imobiliser and maybe a tracker.. that way, if it gets nicked, they wont get far

its wot uv gotta weigh up man. mod and run the risk. dont mod and reduce the risk. there is always the risk. so unless u wana drive a smashed up sierra that no 1 will bat an eyelid at, id get used to it.

Surely a basic Sporting will turn heads anyway! Its certainly unique, and its shape/size always turn head....and then they turn away laughing

Get a yellow sporting! out of every other car you see on the roads, yellow is very easy to spot by you and PC Plod, therefore a lower risk of being stolen

I have a mate who's Dad once wired up the hinges on the shed door to the main's supply cos he was sick of it getting broken into. I can just see the little scally frying and them having spasms on the floor! Oh the satisfaction!
