So theres the Chav haring up behind me, I'm at 60, dual carriageway, local speed limit, clear road, so I couldnt resist and made it hard for him to pass. He drops it down a gear from the row from his dranipipe and pulls in smug as whisps of smoke from his zorst grow bluer and bluer and he slows...... with smoke from under his bonnet too, smelling definitely terminal!

He stopped, I watched him in the mirrors not so smug anymore! :)

Scratch 1 Chavd up Saxo! :D

Thort he could... but he couldnt... reminded me of those WW2 air combat movies.... (y)

I get sick of people who try and make it difficult to overtake, happens to me all the time on dual carriageways and motorways when I'm in the starbo -_-

That happened to us once coming back from wales.

Some kids (and i use that term loosly) tried to race my hubby, they had a nissan something or other with a vented bonnet (obviously just for show cause it was as slow as poo)

Hubby let em past cause we'd got the kids in the car and a bit further down the road we saw the nissan on the side of the road, bonnet up and smoke pouring out

We slowed, we pointed, we laughed and of course we papped the horn :D

I am hardly talkin jet speeds here, it was 70ish max, and I quickly eased off.

It was more the row his drainpipe zorst that peed me off, 1 of the bu**ers that keep me awake or wake me up at night with any luck!

Bottom line I was at 60, the legal limit and he wanted to fly by, tried and failed, with no real effort from me, this had a vented bonnet too, thats where the smoke started to come from when he stopped. God knbows what he had done with it, complete with VTR badges, tints, big wheels.

Back to the drawing boared for him methinks!

lol.. all the dual carriageways around here are 70 limits :p, although while the starbo was on the road it happily passed most things anyway, despite idiots trying to force me to go faster, but then I get easily pissed off when I constantly have older people driving up my bumper because I've got a big exhaust etc..

bet hes incredibly gutted, I would be, lucky thing for me is I've got 2 cars, so I'm not really fussed when the starlet is up and running again :D

i've been that chav  I overtook sumone in Cinqi Turbo once and no sooner had i done so, i dropped a james bond smoke screen out my drainpipe exhaust and my headgasket became non existant (n)

its quite embarrassing haha.

as for people who don't let me come past i just keep my foot in it until they're so busy goin "wtf" i end up goin past anyway... this is prolly why my head gasket blows

LMAO at air war video bit :D

I was once overtaken by and E reg Nova, while i was driving my R reg Escort Ghia. My god the shame!!! I was really trying too.

I slinked off at the next available turning :D

hehe was it white per chance? my friend had an old nova and he thought it was the fastest car in the world
bless him

nah some cacky green i think. He must have had a rocket inside the engine though cause fair play to him. However my Escort as lovely as it was was a pile of poo when it came to speed

I don't even bother trying now in the Bravo, its a 1.4 and with the best will in the world it only just about competes with a push bike :ROFLMAO:

Lol, it was prolly a 2.0 calibra engine.. although you'd have thought they'd have done the bodywork :p

After i had my uno which couldn't even compete with pedestrians, my driving kinda calmed down a bit. I don't often rag the Turbo Cinq, many people wouldn't believe that but i don't.
:D

Mum tested as Escort long time ago... she ended up getting a Tipo instead (y):D

I've always liked Escorts, still do (probs cause my mum used to have em when i was young)

The tax needed renewing at a bad financial time (£90 odd for 6 months) so instead i sold it lol, plus the mpg wasn't great.

So i bought Barney and haven't looked back since, well, not strictly true....:D

hehe, i've only ever been in 2 escorts and only ever driven one.

one was my aunts 1.4 escort and one was my mates Escort RS cossie :D
now i'd have one of those!!! but yea MPG not good (n) lmao.

eek we've hijacked the thread  lol

ahem, think you might be right :D ah well its still car related

Would love to have driven an RS cosworth :)

Its scary, you have to kind of prepare yourself and hang on to the wheel otherwise you end up in the boot lol!
it starts off all sedate like, then the boost comes in and its scary.

We rinsed and re-rinsed a BMW M3 on dual carriage way one evening, thats how quick it was...

hmm the company i keep  lmao
