Hi all, I'm after some help !

I have just purchased a used Ulysse 2.2 jtd eleganza with a few problems.
It has an airbag faulty message keeps flashing up and the sat nav says that no cd rom is inserted but there is a cd in the unit (under the seat), albeit a 2005 copy, I have cleaned the disc but this does not help, anyone got any ideas ??

If the CD is a map CD, then it needs to be in the unit itself, not the changer.

I take it you have Nav+?

Is it a vdo dyton unit under the seat and a seperate screen on the dash mm5000? With the remote mounted on the dash???

Mine is a VDO Ayton, unit is under the seat with the extra screen on the dash and a little joystick by the gear lever.

Does the screen stay on and keep telling you no cd inserted or comes on tells you no cd and screen shuts down? Also sounds like you have a ex addi lee ulysse is it black with a du or dv plate?

Sorry if it is an ex addi lee then the chances are five recalls that include the intermittant air bag fault have not been done. If its not a ex addi lee and the recalls have been done open the bonnet and on the drivers side is a fuse box just below the drain pipe for the windscreen make sure the tops on tight and sealed. Any Water in there will give air bag and a whole range of faults on the display. use this link put in the details and the recalls will be shown http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/default.asp . The sat nav has two live power supplys if the display shows fault then switches off you have lost one. If it shows fault then the screen stays on the unit is at fault try a newer disc if you can. One fuse is in the car fuse system(a job to find under the dash drivers side) and one is under the seat or with the battery. let us know how you get on!
