my partners phone microphone seems to have stoped working today. was fine this morning but gone now. iv tryed the net to see what the problem could be (other than a mechanical fault as its not that old) and seems it could be a firmware fault. now iv tryed looking into how to do it and realy dont understand. can anyone help me on this. or had the same problem and fixed it a different way? cheers guys
 
how old is the thing if its within a year old it should be under warantee i bought mine from a virgin media shop and they wouldnt help me when i had an issue with my memory card but then i was sent in the direction of caraphone warehouse who had a samsung engineer and he sent it off to samsung for repair

well under a year. only a couple of months old. phones already got firm update so wont do it again. so that aint fixed it. mic probs broke full stop. she got it from phones for you so is it worth taking there? shes on o2 so is it pos to take it to an o2 shop?
 
it should be possible if under warantee try phones 4 u then try 02 if still no luck actuall ring samsung themselves thing is you gotta be persistant because theyre reluctant to send phones back theyll try and tell you loads of codswallop

Samsungs get a 2 year warranty IIRC but I wont agree with them being reliable once fixed, my Tocco ultimate is the most useless piece of crap ever created to the point i've stopped using it entirely in favour of a 3.5 yr old sony ericcson
 
Weirdly my microphone/speaker packed in on my samsung tocco the other day

The third one to knacker up on me but the first for this problem, mine was replaced straight away, i told them i didnt want another so they gave me a sony ericsson satio instead
