This isnt realy a problem more of a "what do you think would look better" I have decided to get a bolt on K&N i have found 2 posibilities that will fit. but cant decide which one will look better a 150mm round one or a 182 x 120mm oval. Any ideas which would you go for.
thanx

What apple is getting at here is that although theres nothing wrong with K&N filters, the design of a cento one is not the best as it sits on top of the engine, thus drawing in hot air which is bad for performance, there is nothing stopping you making the kit better though.. Get some tubing of that will fit over top of your TB, and join the other end to the filter, placing it somewhere where it'll get colder air.. Hope this helps.. If its just thge noise and looks your after though it'll be ok, ie not detremental to the engine in anyway. Just so long as you know cento snobs will turn there noses up at a K&N.

Thanks for the advice. one thing about the tubing tho. getting 4inch tube to bend over at the angle needed to get it nere cold air surely would kink the tube and restrict airflow. The only reason i was thinking bolt on is because my car is strange it doesnt like to run properly with the plastic top on the injector unit.it spluters and judders (its not the airfilter thats new) then if you take the top off its fine so i was just thinking that the bolt on k&n might help it. rather than run it with no filter at all.
