i currently have a standard t jet punto and i have already purchased an abarth turbocharger. i am looking at getting my t jet up to 180 -190 bhp. I have seen a t jet on this forum which is 190 bhp and has the following mods
Abarth turbo
Red dot remap
ragazzon decat pipe
Forge radiator resevour
Forge induction kit
Forge inlet pipe
Forge dump valve
Forge intercooler
full longlife stainless steel exhaust system.
i live in sunderland and its a long way from red dot. however i would be willing to travel there as i know they are very good tuners for t jets and i wouldnt trust any other tuner with my car. If i were to buy these parts myself would red dot be able to fit them over the course of a few days? how much would it be roughly for all af these parts to be fitted or the same type of parts fitted for 180-190 bhp? I was going part ex my t jet and take out 8k more finance on a vxr corsa which is 190bhp. Basically how many grand am i looking at spending to achieve 180 or 190 bhp?
thanks

red dot are tuners not fitters, but torque exhausts are in the same building so might be worth getting on of them instead of the longlife, ring and have a chat with them an they might also do fitting of other bits
you could miss off the radiator resevour that is a styling mod not tuning.
i dont know what gains a Forge induction kit gives, be good if you get them to do a before and after run with just that mod

I would buy the VXR or even better an Abarth.

You'll be happy you did one of those options when you come to sell the car...

agree... how about the new abarth punto evo coming out in july, std comes out at 165hp and and SS (manufactor kit) to around 190hp?

How about clio 200?

Or just remap your standard tjet?

if youd rather hand it over to someone else to fit all the parts and its just the finished product you like then just buy the one from ebay that was the forge development car and as said youll save a fair bit of money especially if you were going to pay labour for someone else to fit it (y)

but as i found out the end result isnt always what you thought itd be with a project, the ebay one has rr readouts to prove its power..

mine is rap yellow, an 09 plate and i have already bought the abarth turbo. ideally i would like to keep my newer t jet and i also like the colour better. if the project is going to cost too much i will just sell the abarth turbo on here or e bay. maby a vxr corsa, clio 200 or the new polo gti that is coming out might be a better option for me? im not too keen on the abarth punto as i dont like the colours they come in or the plastic wheel arches on them. basically i just want to know if it would be cheaper to take out more finance on a vxr or clio 200 etc... or spend money on mine making it around the same power as a 17 grand hot hatch. would a t jet perform as good as a vxr or a clio 200 with 190bhp?

Type R's are so common now though

But still lots of fun out of the box. I've had the old one (EP3) and the missus swans around in the new one (FN2).

Just ordered an P.Evo 135. This thread is interesting, for when I am no longer happy with the standard spec.

You can't beat the feeling that you've been spannering your own car and then proved it on the rolling road.

I didnt say they werent fun, just boring as alot of people have them & its more fun tuning a lower spec car which hardly anyone has to keep up with type r's etc...
