It is cheaper AND it tells you the speed limit at the camera, which the current version of the road angel 2 doesnt do. The laser module is not yet available but is coming soon. Its a seperate unit which mounts on the top and plugs into the AUX port. We have found that the existing Number Plate laser sensors fit, but cant confirm it works yet.

The Road angel 2 also you could use straight from the box, until you regsitered it. The compact is unusable until registered.
