Looking really, good. Was that done professionally or did you do it Daz?

Joske

Bit of a rush job, there are still one or two little bits i'm not happy with, which i will be able to sort out when i get a bit more time on the weekend...

Overall i think its not a bad effort for 5hrs work.

looking tidy mate, i'm currentl looking for a rear bumper an don't know what to get? any ideas would be a great help
how easy was it to fit
how much did it cost?

u strengthen that middle bit. cut a bit of metal and fibreglass it in trust me u dont want to forget.

Smee

@ Wimmy - Hold your horses...lol
TBH, i'm not sure, when is it again?

@ Joske - I smoothed over the tow hook hole...

@ Andy - Cheers m8, i think i will ok with the skirts, but not looking forward to the front...lol

@ Smee - I have to get the front and the 18's on first, then i will be able to see how low i can go ;)

Daz

@ Josh - If you have a Bravo, from memory there are only 2 rear splitters available...the Rieger (above) and the indy/milano.

@ Smee - The centre bit has been strengthened along with the rest of it. As you said i cut a piece of galv'd steel strip and fibreglassed it in. I can literaly throw this thing round by the splitter and it won't budge ;)

Daz

im guessing that its only the front on the HGT that needs 'adjustement' then!

what skirts and front do you have?

Looks good daz! one question s though... that isnt just filler in the gap is it? you need fibreglass on there first!!!

i never strengthened my reger rear..never broke for me, although lightwarrior did have a prob with it at one point!

I have the Indy/Milano front and skirts...

The arches flare out on the HGT, but i'm sure bending the skirts a little won't matter, but i am going to have to make the front splitter about an inch or so wider to accomodate the wider bumper...

Daz

Nope...what i did.

Stuck the two bits together with sikaflex.

Strengthened the inside with fibreglass.

Filled join on the outside with fibreglass, then smoothed over with filler.

Cut a piece of galv'd steel strip and fibreglassed it in to strengthen the centre.

Do you think this will hold?

Like i said earlier, i can literally swing this thing round by just holding the splitter.

Daz

u need to cut the recess out for the skirt mate. dont bend it. its only a small cut. about 4 inch long and 1cm wide one end and getting thinner as u go down the skirt.

the front is gonna be a pain. wat u gonna do? if it was me i would put some metal in there to fill the gap and then fibreglass over the top. that way the gap will be strong and not likely to crack and should be lined up fairly well. im sure ull do a good job

i hope he tiger sealed the rear aswell. then fibreglassed and fillered it otherwise that wont last long.

Smee

that should be good. if u got fibreglass between the bumper and the splitter that wont go anywhere fast.

Smee

that sound text book Daz i wouldnt worry about that...

Are you removing your rear reflextors? i suggest you dont attempt this unless you are very confident with filler!

if you do get plastic and plastic weld some plastic over the hole, the put fibreglass over the back... the fiat plastics are really good as the all seem to weld, some plastics just crumble and are ****!
